Have you ever seen almond trees blossom?
For the very first time I got to see almond trees was in Guadix - a little Andalusian town in the mainland Spain.
We were there for work from March to May and were staying in an apartment overlooking some orchards. Back than I had no clue that these plain looking trees were actually almond trees. Until one sunny day in March the boring looking trees transformed into magnificent soft pink and white clouds.
Since than we have witnessed almond trees in bloom in Provence in the end of February which was breathtaking.
So when we heard that Gran Canaria holds an almond tree blossom festival we were all eyes and ears and ready to go.
Some of the most popular questions I get from you are "What camera do I use? And what lense?"
So I thought I'd dedicate a whole post to the equipment. Hope it will help you in your own equipment choosing desicions. I actually enjoy reading through 'What's in my camera bag' posts created by fellow bloggers, because sometimes I find useful tips and most of the time I dicover something for my 'wish list'.
The decision is made - we are going to New Zealand. Actually it wasn't a difficult thing to decide upon - Kiwi Land was my dream destination for far too long (i promise, no Hobbits were involved in the decision process).
But from the moment of deciding before actually sitting in a plane Oceania bound, it was quite some beforehand errands we had to run and arrangements which have to be made. Especially with our little one coming along on this down-under adventure.
So I thought I'd spare your precious time (better use it for excitement of your upcoming trip) and share my "pre-New Zealand to-do list".
